A German management and technology consulting company was looking to improve its existing financial planning and consolidation environment. Although financial data was already available in SAP, fragmented Excel files across regions, manual processes and limited auditability made budgeting, forecasting and consolidation more complex.
The company needed a unified platform that could connect SAP data with consolidation, budgeting and forecasting while giving finance greater control over its own processes. Another priority was to establish a single source of truth and reduce the dependency on IT for data preparation and reporting changes.
Inulta started the engagement with an analysis of the existing CCH® Tagetik environment, identifying performance issues, functional gaps and reporting bottlenecks. Calculation rules, data loads and SAP data extraction were optimized to improve system performance and reporting speed.
The project also introduced enhancements across Planning and Consolidation, including driver-based planning models, new reporting templates, improved workflows and updated consolidation logic. Continuous support and knowledge transfer helped finance teams take greater ownership of the platform and its ongoing development.
Results and Benefits
- 50% reduction in forecasting cycle time
- 100% data traceability from source to report
